Puppy Yoga Policies

Everything that governs a booking, written the way we would say it to you at the door. Agreeing to this page is part of booking a class.

Booking, payment & waivers

How a mat is held, what has to be agreed before you pay, and the waiver everyone signs.

Holding your mat

Every class is capped at fourteen mats. A booking holds the number of mats you chose, for the day and time you chose, and it is confirmed by a person rather than by an automated calendar.

Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay and the mat is confirmed straight away. Pay by Interac e-transfer and the mat is held while the transfer is on its way; the booking becomes final once we have matched the payment to your name and confirmed it by email.

Agreeing to these policies

These policies have to be agreed to before a booking can be paid for. We record the name on the booking, the booking number, the date and time you agreed, and which version of this page you agreed to.

Waivers are required

Everyone who steps onto a mat completes a waiver before class. Adult classes use the Adult Participant Waiver; Parent & Child classes use the Parent & Child Participation Agreement, completed and signed by the parent or guardian.

Your confirmation email carries a link that opens the right waiver with your class, date, time and booking number already filled in. If a booking holds several mats, each participant completes their own.

A waiver that is not complete when you arrive can be signed at the desk — there is a code to scan for exactly that — but it must be complete before you go in.

Arriving

Please arrive ten to fifteen minutes before your class for check-in. The pups settle before a class starts, and a late entrance restarts that process for everyone.

Mats, bolsters, blocks and straps are provided. Come in whatever you can move in.

Private and group sessions

Private sessions are arranged directly and priced per room rather than per person. Write to us through the contact form with your dates and the size of your group and we will come back to you with what is possible.

Cancellations & refunds

Plans change. To keep classes running fairly for everyone, this is the policy that applies to every booking.

If you cancel

Cancellations made forty-eight hours or more before the scheduled class may be eligible for a class credit or a reschedule.

Cancellations made less than forty-eight hours before class are non-refundable. Same-day cancellations are non-refundable. Missed classes and no-shows are non-refundable.

Rescheduling

Rescheduling requests must be made at least forty-eight hours before the scheduled class, and are subject to availability in the class you want to move to.

A booking may be rescheduled once, unless management approves otherwise.

Late arrivals

Guests should arrive ten to fifteen minutes before class for check-in. Late entry may not be permitted once a class has started.

A guest who arrives too late to join the session safely is treated as a missed booking and does not receive a refund.

No-shows

If you do not attend your scheduled class and have not contacted us within the cancellation period, the booking is treated as a no-show. No-shows are not eligible for refunds or credits.

If we cancel

We may need to cancel a class because of instructor illness or unavailability, puppy availability, puppy health or welfare, severe weather, a problem with the building, an emergency, or other circumstances outside our control.

When that happens you may take either a transfer to another available class or a full refund for the cancelled class.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. How long they take to appear depends on the payment provider or financial institution.

Special circumstances

Emergencies happen, and management will review exceptional situations individually. Refunds and credits outside the cancellation window are not guaranteed.

The puppies

Puppy welfare comes before customer interaction, every time. These are the rules that follow from that.

Puppy availability

Our classes involve live animals, so the number of puppies, which puppies attend, and how much they want to interact all vary from session to session. A specific puppy, or a specific number of puppies, is never guaranteed.

A class is only cancelled if management decides the session cannot run safely or appropriately.

Welfare

Puppies may sleep, rest, leave the activity area, or be taken out of the room at any time. Staff may limit or stop puppy interaction for safety or comfort, and those decisions are not open to negotiation during class.

Handling

Use gentle hands and let puppies come to you — do not chase, grab, squeeze, restrain, or pull ears, tails, legs, fur or collars. Do not wake a resting puppy, do not climb on or lie on one, and do not feed or pick one up unless a staff member says you may.

Puppies stay in the designated class area. Check around you before you change position or stand up, and stop interacting immediately if staff ask you to.

Health, safety & conduct

What we ask you to consider before you book, and what to do if something goes wrong in the room.

Health and participation

Puppy yoga is physical activity in a room with live animals, which means exposure to pet hair, dander, saliva and cleaning products. You are responsible for deciding whether allergies, sensitivities, injuries, illness, pregnancy-related concerns or any other condition make participation appropriate for you.

Stop and tell a staff member if you feel unwell, dizzy, injured or unable to continue safely. If you are contagious, please reschedule rather than attend — tell us and we will move you, whatever the notice.

Injuries, bites and scratches

Tell a staff member immediately about any injury, bite, scratch, unsafe behaviour or concern involving a participant or a puppy, however minor it seems. Every report is recorded.

Staff may contact emergency medical services when that is reasonably necessary. Staff do not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.

Guest conduct

We ask everyone to follow instructions from instructors, puppy supervisors and staff, to treat the puppies and the other guests with care, and to keep phones quiet during practice.

Management may end a guest's participation, without a refund, for behaviour that puts a puppy, a participant or a member of staff at risk.

Parent & child classes

Children are welcome in the sessions built for them, with a parent or guardian on the mat beside them.

Supervision

A parent or guardian must stay with their child and supervise them throughout the class, unless staff specifically instruct otherwise. That means keeping the child within your supervision, making sure they follow staff instructions, and stopping unsafe behaviour immediately.

The agreement you sign

Parent & Child classes use the Parent & Child Participation Agreement rather than the adult waiver. The parent or guardian completes and signs it, enters the child's details, and chooses photo and video consent on the child's behalf.

The class name, date, time and booking number are filled in for you from the booking — there is nothing to copy across.

Handling rules for children

The same handling rules apply, and the parent is responsible for them: gentle hands, no chasing or grabbing, nothing pulled, no climbing on a puppy, no waking a sleeping one, and no feeding or picking up without staff permission.

Photo & video

We photograph classes sometimes. Whether you appear in any of it is entirely your choice.

Your consent

Every waiver asks whether you give permission for identifiable photos and video of you — or, in a Parent & Child class, of your child — to be used on our social media, website, advertising and promotional materials.

Declining does not prevent participation in class, and it costs you nothing. Your answer is recorded against your booking so staff can see it before a camera comes out.

Changing your mind

Write to us through the contact form at any time and we will change your consent for future classes, and remove anything already published that you can identify yourself in.

Your own photographs

Take as many as you like of yourself and the pups. Please do not photograph other guests without asking them first.

Privacy

What we collect when you book, sign a waiver or write to us, why we hold it, and how long it stays.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form: your name, email address, phone number, an optional home address, the class and day you chose, anything you add in the notes field, and — on a waiver — your date of birth, emergency contact, photo consent, electronic signature and the time you signed. There is no third-party advertising or analytics tracking on this site.

What we do with it

We use it to confirm your booking, to send your reminder, to check you in at the door, and to hold the waiver you signed. Nothing is sold, rented or shared outside the studio, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you asked to be on one.

How long we keep it

Booking records are held for twelve months so we can answer questions about past sessions. Signed waivers are held longer, because they are a legal record of what was agreed on the day. Newsletter subscriptions are held until you unsubscribe, which you can do from the foot of any note we send.

Asking us to remove it

Write to us through the contact form and we will delete what we hold on you and confirm once it is done. We may need to keep a signed waiver for as long as a claim could still be brought about the class it covers.
