Booking policy
How a mat is held, what a session includes, and what we ask of you before you arrive.
Holding your mat
Every class is capped at fourteen mats, so each booking is confirmed by hand rather than by an automated calendar. Send your details through the booking form and you will hear from us within one business day with a confirmation and a short note about the room.
A place is only held once that confirmation reaches you. Until then the mat stays open to the next enquiry.
Arriving
Doors open fifteen minutes before the hour. We ask that you arrive inside that window: the pups settle into the room before class begins, and a late entrance restarts that process for everyone.
Mats, bolsters, blocks and straps are provided. Come in whatever you can move in.
Private and group sessions
Private sessions are arranged directly and priced per room rather than per person. Write to us at hello@downwarddog.ca with your dates and the size of your group and we will come back to you with what is possible.
Cancellation
Small rooms mean an empty mat cannot be filled at short notice. These are the windows we work to.
Changing your booking
Cancel or move a session more than twenty-four hours before it starts and there is nothing to settle — reply to your confirmation email and we will move you to any other class with space.
Inside twenty-four hours the session is charged in full. It is not a penalty so much as arithmetic: fourteen mats is a small enough room that a late cancellation is rarely re-booked.
If you are unwell
Tell us and we will move you, whatever the notice. Nobody should be weighing a fee against turning up sick, and the pups are better off without it too.
If we cancel
Very occasionally we stand a class down — most often because the pups are having an off morning. You will hear from us as early as we can manage, and you may take either a full refund or a place in any other session.
Privacy policy
What we collect when you book or write to us, why we hold it, and how long it stays.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form: your name, your email address, your phone number, the class you chose, and anything you add in the notes field. There is no third-party advertising or analytics tracking on this site.
What we do with it
We use it to confirm your booking and to reach you if a class changes. Nothing is sold, rented or shared with anyone outside the studio, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you asked to be on one.
How long we keep it
Booking records are held for twelve months so we can answer questions about past sessions, then deleted. Newsletter subscriptions are held until you unsubscribe, which you can do from the foot of any note we send.
Asking us to remove it
Write to hello@downwarddog.ca and we will delete everything we hold on you and confirm once it is done.
